Somadance, Sacrament & Sound

Wednesday, August 5, 2026 · 6:00–9:30 PM · One Tree Cottage

From stillness into elemental movement, then sound that seals what the dance uncovered — one continuous arc.

Somadance: We begin in stillness. Not the stillness of waiting, but the stillness of arriving — settling into the body, following the breath, letting the noise of the day fall away. From that quiet, movement begins to stir. Gentle at first. Intuitive. The body finding its own language before the mind can intervene. Then the music builds and the space opens, and you are invited into something older than thought — free, expressive, elemental movement drawn from the wisdom of Earth, Water, Fire, and Air. No steps. No choreography. Just you, following sensation wherever it leads. And then, as all true journeys do, it turns toward home. The music softens. The movement slows. You find the ground again, the breath again, yourself again — shaken loose from whatever was held, lit up from the inside.

Sound bath: It is here, in this exquisite threshold between motion and rest, that I bring in the bowls. The sound meets you exactly where the dance has left you — open, settled, receptive — and carries you deeper still. The vibration moves through everything the movement uncovered, organising it, sealing it, making it yours at a cellular level the thinking mind cannot reach. One continuous arc. From stillness, through expression, back to stillness — only now the stillness is different. Now it is full.
